Being found matters as much as being good. The trap is that most SEO advice treats a site as a container for keywords, when the problems on a small site are almost always structural: pages aimed at searches they cannot win, or built in a way search engines cannot read.

I work on the version of this a designer can actually fix the site itself.

Who this is for

You have a site that does not appear for the things you sell, and you suspect the reason is technical rather than a lack of blog posts. You want to know which searches are worth pursuing before writing anything. You would rather fix the foundation than publish weekly into a structure that cannot rank.

Who this isn't for

If you need a national link-building campaign or content produced at volume, that is an agency retainer and I am not it. If you want to rank for a head term dominated by marketplaces and directories, I will tell you that is not winnable and suggest what is which is not always what people want to hear.

How the work runs

It starts with an audit of what is actually there: indexing, titles and meta, structured data, internal links, speed, and how each page is built. Then the part usually skipped checking what each page targets against what that search actually returns, because a page aimed at a query whose results are all job boards will never convert regardless of how well it is optimised.

Then the fixes, in priority order, made in the site rather than recommended to somebody else.

What this looked like on this site

The most honest example is the one you are reading. An audit of all twenty-three pages found five service pages with no meta description at all, four pages emitting no structured data, thirteen images describing nothing, and the finding that mattered a homepage targeting a search whose results are almost entirely job listings.

The technical items were fixed the same week. The positioning finding was worth more than all of them, and no keyword tool would have surfaced it.

What you leave with

A written audit with findings ranked by impact. The technical fixes implemented, not just listed. Page-level titles, meta and structured data corrected and left editable. And a clear statement of which searches are worth pursuing, which are not, and why.

Not being found?

Tell me what you want to rank for and who you're competing with. If the honest answer is that the query isn't winnable, I'll say so.

Sampath designed a unique and vintage-style logo for my car wash service, and it turned out better than I imagined. The design perfectly captures the classic feel I wanted while looking professional and eye-catching. He truly understood my vision and brought it to life with creativity and precision. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this SEO, or design?

Both, and that is the argument. Most SEO problems on a small site are structural — how pages are built, what they target, how they are linked — so a designer who builds the site can fix them at the source rather than recommending them to someone else.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. What I can do is find where the site is competing for searches it cannot win or does not want, fix what is technically holding it back, and target queries that are both winnable and worth having.

How long before it shows?

Technical fixes can register within weeks. Content and authority take months. Anyone quoting a fixed timeline is describing a sales process rather than how search works.

What does an audit actually cover?

Crawlability and indexing, titles and meta at page level, structured data, internal linking, page speed and Core Web Vitals, and — the part usually skipped — whether each page's target query has search intent matching what the page actually is.

What is search intent and why does it matter more than keywords?

Because ranking for the wrong query is worse than not ranking. A page can be optimised perfectly for a term whose results are all job listings or comparison tools, and then it either never ranks or ranks and brings the wrong visitor.

Can you work with my existing site?

Yes. Most of this is auditing and fixing what is there. A rebuild only comes up when the platform itself is the constraint, and that is a separate conversation with its own numbers.
